1. DIPLOMA OF GOLF MANAGEMENT

The Golf Hub offers a partnership with PGA Australia International Golf Academy that provides pathways allow students to take a phased approach to achieve their career goals in the golf industry. This includes pursuing a Diploma in Golf Management, which provides the skills and knowledge needed to move on to the Advanced Diploma level, a Bachelor's degree that links to another university program.

The positions that graduates can hold in the future after completing the Diploma in Golf Management are:

  • General Manager of Golf Club.
  • M&A Management.
  • Assistant/ Club Manager.
  • Event/ Tournament Coordinator.
  • Golf Director.
  • Golf Tour Operator.
  • Golf Course Executive Director
  • PGA Instructor (Golf Coach)

 

The program includes:

1.1. Internal Roadmap

Successful graduates of the 10810NAT Golf Management Certificate have access to PGA pathways for those looking to turn their passion for golf into a career as an Official Apprentice Member of the Australian PGA (PGA Professional). Learning in the PGA Membership Pathway Program is a combination of employment, on-the-job training, face-to-face schools, and online learning. In addition, students are guaranteed to maintain a professional competitive standard by participating in periodic PGA Associate tournaments. All students wishing to enter either program must meet the program's entry requirements.

1.2. University pathway

The PGA Diploma in Golf Management provides students with a pathway to a Bachelor's Degree at Universities and Colleges across Australia, earning one year of credit from a three-year Bachelor's Degree (full-time study).

This pathway allows students from across Australia and the world the opportunity to earn two degrees in three years of full-time study, giving them the opportunity to advance in their future careers. Students must meet the entry requirements set forth by the University or College for the selected Bachelor's Degree. Students interested in taking these pathways to a Bachelor's degree must successfully complete the 10810NAT Golf Management Certificate with the PGA.

PGA partners with Deakin University to provide pathways to bachelor's degree programs. Candidates who successfully complete the 10810NAT Golf Management Certificate will be eligible for up to 7 credits into Deakin University's M391 Bachelor of Business (Sports Management), equivalent to a maximum of 1 semester.

Entry Requirements:

  • 18 years old or older.
  • Completion of Australian Year 12 (equivalent) higher education or successful completion of the LLN Assessment Test with the PGA IGI at the required entry level.
  • Minimum overall IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent English language proficiency.
  • Eligibility for an Australian Student Visa (Subclass 500).
  • Intakes: Each year, the PGA offers four intakes for International Students commencing the PGA Diploma of Golf Management in JANUARY – JULY – APRIL – OCTOBER.

Not only limited to the indoor environment, coming to the golf management training program, students can participate in a number of interactive classes on and off the golf course to help them interact and get used to the new professional environment.

2. DIPLOMA OF GOLF MANAGEMENT (E-learning)

The PGA Institute is a leader in education for the golf industry providing students with an online learning opportunity to train in the field of golf management recognized by Australia. Flexible, unique, time-limited study programs provide students with the opportunity to practice and prepare the best skills for organizational management, and leadership using in the sport of golf.

The program includes:

  • Orientation to the course and the Institute.
  • Join the e-learning portal for training and assessment.
  • Certificates of Attendance (RPL) and Electronic Credit Transfer (CT) are available.
  • Research, consulting and career orientation.

To successfully graduate with the Certificate in Golf Management students will have to complete 15 major management categories and 4 golf-related electives.

 

3. ADVANCED DIPLOMA OF LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT (E-learning)

Advanced online learning opportunities in the field of golf give you a flexible learning experience, a more advanced program than a golf ethics certificate that enhances your golf training and leadership.

In order to successfully graduate from the Advanced Training & Management certificate, students must pass 5 focus categories revolving around organizational thinking, leadership and management as well as 5 complementary electives revolving around accompanied by the goal of testing your capacity and qualifications in the field of operation management, organizational strategy building in the closest way.

4. GOLF DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Complementary Golf Development Program provides students with golf coaching and training in addition to the Academy education your desire.

The program is suitable for students who want to improve their golf skills where golf is to a higher standard or is beneficial to career goals. Working with PGA Institute Trainers students will implement proven long-term training methods. Full implementation of the training approach that combines golf competition, practice sessions, unlimited golf access and fitness classes will definitely benefit you as a golfer
